Termite Control : What Do Termites Look Like?


I’m with TNT Pest Control we’re talking about what termites, what do termites look like. Depends on what stage they’re in, you have an egg stage which will be anywhere from white creamish yellowish color to a nymph stage that will be more of a white cream color.

They range from an eighth of an inch for workers up to quarter of an inch with the kings and queens. The queen will be black in color, the king will be more of a soldier, not a soldier but a worker-type body colored with a soldier head.

Soldiers range from a creamish white color to a yellowish color with a black head with pincers in the front. The difference between ants and termites, termites don’t have a section between the abdomen and the thorax, its just straight up and down, ants do have a small section in between the thorax and the abdomen, that’s the best way to identify ants from termites.
