Hello, I’m Michael pH Enza, with advantage pest control in st. Petersburg Florida, and I’m. Oftentimes asked how to kill fleas in a car. Now this is a common problem. People have fleas in their house. I come in.
I do the extermination take care of the problem: they take a little spot or fluffy to the vet and the car and guess what the car gets infested. So it’s. It’s, a big problem because you drive the card.
A few days later and there’s, no pet for the fleas to feed on and guess what they’re gonna feed on you. You’re, not their preferred host, but you’re. The only thing to eat at now and you’re driving your car.
This is a dangerous situation. The next thing you know you’re, getting your legs bit up. So how do you do it? Well, you do it pretty much like you’re doing in the house all right now, you can go in there with some heavy-duty pesticides, but this is a confined space, and here in Florida we have our air conditioning going about 11 months.
Out of the year, so you want to try to do this as safe as possible. What I like to do is the mixed boric acid, with a product from EcoSmart it’s, an eco smart exempt dust. It’s, so safe. It’s exempt from EPA regulation.
I want to go in dust. The car get this dust in there. It’s, going to take care of the eggs and the larvae, and you’re going after the adults with the pre-core adulticide spray, and that also has a growth regulator, so it stops them from molting.
So it’s. The best way to attack fleas is to get them at all the different life cycles, and now you may get a hatch out in another seven to ten days because they go from egg to larva to pupa it’s like a little cocoon that They spend and they’re impervious to almost everything in that stage.
So when you use the aerosol, keep it handy in about seven to ten days, you’re. Probably gonna have to hit it with the aerosol again. So what you want to do, is you hit it with the aerosol after you dust it close the car up, let it sit yeah and give it a half-an-hour so because it’s, an irritant to the fleas and they’re gon Na get moving around and it’s, gonna get them in all the different products.
Right then open the car and let it air out very, very well yeah after that, you should be fine, so that’s. The way you take care of fleas in your car, I’m Michael pH Ensley, with advantage pest control here in st.
Petersburg Florida. Thank you.
